All of our services are available to Comanche Tribal Members in Texas. To request information or assistance, please complete an intake form

Referrals

Refer all tribal members to the appropriate Comanche Nation non-local service(s) department, and other relevant programs or resources as necessary.

Application Support

Assist with the application process for Comanche Nation non-local service(s) and other programs, and provide applications &/or information to members.

News & Events

Offer outreach events and cultural activities, and keep tribal members informed on upcoming and current Comanche Nation events.

Peer Advising

Offer mentorship & guidance in navigating professional processes including completing applications for FAFSA, scholarships, college admissions, and more.

Career Planning 

Provide assistance with career exploration & preparation including mock interviews, and reviewing resumes, cover letters, and portfolios.

Community Pantry

Our community pantry includes limited non-perishable food, water/juice, toiletries, clothing, shoes, and blankets which are available to all tribal members.

CAREGIVERS

Provides caregiving payment for elders 62 years of age or older OR 100% disabled and receiving 100% disability payments. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

CHILD SUPPORT

Assists with the location of parents and their assets, establishes paternity, and oversees, establishes, and enforces child support services. Click here to learn more or contact the department. 

DIABETES PREVENTION

Provides medication assistance including continuous glucose monitor/sensors, eyeglass assistance, test strips, lancets, glucometers, and therapeutic shoes. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

EDITH KASSANAVOID GORDON ASSISTED LIVING CENTER

Provides personal care assistance, nursing supervision, medication management, diet management or eating, and assistance with transfer or ambulation. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

ELECTIONS

Provides year-round voting registration (General, Runoff, Secretarial, and Special Elections). Click here to learn more or contact the department.

ENROLLMENT

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Provides assistance to victims of natural disasters including providing water, firewood, generators, and sandbags. Click here to learn more or contact the department. 

FAC (WOMEN'S SHELTER)

Provides temporary shelter and support services for victims of domestic violence, and victims in immediate danger. Open 24/7. Call (580) 492-3590. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

FUNERAL HOME

Provides burial services (funeral home of choice), transportation arrangements for the deceased, and funeral arrangements. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Provides the College Scholarship program (Associate/Bachelor/Master/Doctorate degree), Job Placement & Training program (long-term/full-time vocational training), and Adult Education program (technical/certificate or GED programs)​​​. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

INDIAN CHILD WELFARE 

Provides assistance with establishing tribal foster homes for Comanche children and keeps them in contact with the closest kin and culture, and ensures safe & stable families. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

INJURY PREVENTION

Provides car seat education with car seat (one per child per household), fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, and carbon monoxide alarm. Click here to learn more or contact the department.

M.M.I.P.

Provides monetary assistance for travel, fliers, search & rescue equipment, protection order fees, and memorials & vigils. Click here to learn more or contact the department. 

OPTOMETRY

PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE

PREVENTION & RECOVERY

Provides outpatient assistance including personal hygiene items, housing/shelter, driver's license reinstatement, substance abuse treatment, fees for Interlock Ignition Device installation, and ADSAC assessments (DUI referrals). Also provides reintegration assistance including clothing and groceries, housing/shelter, assessment and driver's license reinstatement, Interlock Ignition Device and other transportation needs, and fees for GPS Tracking Monitor System. PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE

Provides issuance of monthly newspaper, posts with latest news and updates to PIO social media platforms, and mass text (text "COMANCHE" to 411247 to sign up). Click here to learn more or contact the department.

SOCIAL SERVICES
